Cellar Operations

VOLT Institute’s Cellar Operations training course is a 2-week training program that will teach the fundamentals of cellar operations for regional wine making facilities.

Please Note: Cellar Operations is an annual training that takes place before the season begins allowing participants the opportunity for employment upon completion of training.

Cost: free training with scholarships available through SCOE

Approx. 6 Days, 6 hours per day.

Course includes:

  • The Wine Making Process

  • Key Equipment: Tanks, Hoses, Chillers

  • Key Equipment Parts and Tools

  • Building a Simple Line System

  • Work Environment and Safety

  • Gauging and Measuring Tanks

  • Law and Regulations

  • Record Keeping and Key Documents

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

7:30 am to 11:30 am

Selected participants will be asked to submit the following documents;

  1. VOLT Institute enrollment documents

  2. A copy of your high school diploma or GED.

  3. A copy of your valid driver’s license or ID.

Required documents must be received before classes begin.
