Programmable Logic Controllers

PLC Training Boot Camp Program

We are excited to announce the addition of PLC training to our curriculum thanks to a partnership with Automation Group. This new training here at VOLT Institute is a valuable addition to our robust, hands-on maintenance mechanic program.

Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLCs, are small computers in industrial environments that control everything from motors to pumps to fans. Almost every production line uses PLCs whether the company produces wine, tomatoes, nuts, or the packages they are sold in.

PLCs are an essential part of the job of a maintenance mechanic and the importance of PLCs are growing in our local manufacturing industry. By offering this new training. We will prepare VOLT Institute students to maintain the investments of employers in automation and efficiency.

Introduction to PLC

Introduction to PLC is included with many of our industrial maintenance and also available to incumbent workers in a 20-hour boot camp style training.
